I wanted to know about the height of rent. I found out.

To take a break from the Halloween stuff for a moment, this is the sketch I wrote for my Advanced Sketch class. It stars the wonderful Emily Axford and Noah Plener who are all sorts of great in it.
Enjoy!

This is what I want my Halloween to be like.

Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us...
– Ira Glass (via Rabbit Write’s interview on Gala Darling)
Everyone I know has already reblogged this, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to as well.

Does anyone think it’s weird that Starbucks is modeling their commercials after the drug scenes from Requiem for a Dream?

I'm An Enigma
One of my favorite things to do is to hide facts about myself by putting contradictory evidence into all my Mediaite posts. For instance, last week I implied that I went to elementary school in the 80s (not true) and today I referenced a famous soap opera story line from the 70s.

I didn’t have any interest in seeing this movie (despite the great reviews and Danny Boyle) until now. Man, that’s a great trailer.

I'm Really Into, like, Causes and Stuff
Hey, all you dudes out there, lets change our Facebook statuses to something vaguely sexual to show how much of a bummer we think AIDS is! It’ll make us seem compassionate and totes sexy at the same time! Make sure you don’t tell the ladies though! Tee hee!
We can all write stuff like “Mine is 13 inches long when erect!” We’ll actually be talking about the length...

What a Great Movie
For all the ink that’s been spilled over how poorly Mark Zuckerberg comes off in The Social Network, I couldn’t believe how sympathetic the portrayal actually was. Even in the opening scenes where he dicks over his ex-girlfriend and objectifies the entire female student body, the audience feels for him. Trust me, even as someone who’s dealt with the utter obnoxiousness of getting...
