Me neither. At some point, I got so upset with the whole series that I packed it in. I rewatched the final seasons on netflix recently, confirming it is a softcore soap opera for nighttime.

I quit shortly into the fourth season, thoroughly convinced that the show had “gotten” bad. A few years later, I showed the pilot to a college friend and realized, no, it hadn’t “gotten” bad. I’d just “gotten” not 16.

Oh well. I really did love it for a while there.
